MPT reconoció a dirigentes internacionales por Sudamericano de Deportes Acuáticos
Con el propósito de entrelazar lazos de confraternidad y de unión por el deporte, la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo (MPT), reconoció a los altos dirigentes mundiales y autoridades que participan con sus respectivas delegaciones del Campeonato Sudamericano de Deportes Acuáticos 2018, actividad que se viene realizando en la Piscina Olímpica y que culminará este 11 de noviembre. Como mérito a su contribución con el deporte, así como su compromiso en alentar el desempeño de deportistas, 24 representantes, entre dirigentes y presidentes de las federaciones de natación, fueron galardonados por la comuna provincial. Todos ellos recibieron diploma y medallas,
además de algunos presentes que permitan fortalecer la cultura del deporte. Entre los países condecorados tenemos a Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Guyana, Surinam, Aruba y Perú, quienes vienen disputándose la competencia por categorías, donde los jóvenes deportistas nacionales e internacionales vienen demostrando todo su talento, destreza y habilidad en las distintas disciplinas. Evento que es organizado por la Federación Deportiva Peruana de Natación y avalado por Confederación Sudamericana de Natación (Consanat).
Se destaca que, en este Sudamericano de Deportes Acuáticos se disputa el X Campeonato Sudamericano de Aguas Abiertas, el XLIII Campeonato Sudamericano de Clavados, el XLIV Campeonato Sudamericano de Natación, el XX Campeonato Sudamericano de Natación Artística y el XII Campeonato Sudamericano de Polo Acuático. De igual manera, el campeonato cuenta con aproximadamente 700 deportistas de doce países. En total son 4 sedes repartidas entre 3 ciudades. La natación y el Polo Acuático se disputan en la Piscina Olímpica de nuestra ciudad, mientras que la Natación Artística será en la Piscina Olímpica del Campo de Marte y aguas abiertas en el Club Regatas Lima, ambas en la capital peruana. Por último, las pruebas de clavados serán en la Villa Deportiva de la localidad de Callao.
